Flavorganics has been producing the finest organic flavor extracts since 1997. It is a retail brand that is wholly-owned by Elan Vanilla Co., Inc. - a certified, women-owned business that has been dedicated to producing the highest quality natural flavor ingredients for over 45 years, and was the first to make certified organic vanilla extract available in commercial quantities. Elan continues to be a leader in innovating certified organic flavorings and flavor ingredients for the world’s leading organic brands.
Where It started
In Brooklyn, NY in 1922, Dr. Joseph Felton created his first “mixtures” from vanilla extracts for the nascent Flavor and Fragrance industry. Our family has been extracting vanilla beans ever since. Our fathers, Ira Kapp and David Weisman continued the family tradition, growing the reputation of Felton as premium vanilla extractors. And with the next generation, Elan Vanilla was born, with Jocelyn Kapp Manship and Julie Weisman perfecting the craft and continuing the relationships with suppliers that started with our grandparents.

Flavorganics emerged when its parent company, Elan, began to produce organic vanilla extract. In 1998, Flavorganics made its debut at the National Products ExpoWest show and quickly expanded to a full line of organic extracts staples for all pantry needs. The clean labels and balanced flavor profiles spoke for themselves and Flavorganics has since become a household necessity for all pantries.
